Welcome to The Cookie Method. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

About Us

The Cookie Method is a home-based bakery located in Perth, Western Australia, operating in accordance with applicable Western Australian food business regulations.

Orders

Orders will be ready for delivery or pick up 3 days after payment has been received.

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to decline an order where products are unavailable or for any other reasonable business reason. If this occurs, any payment received for unavailable items will be refunded.

Product Availability

As our cookies are handcrafted in small batches, flavours and quantities may occasionally sell out.

If an ordered flavour becomes unavailable, we will contact you to discuss a suitable replacement or refund for the affected item.

Product Images

All product images on our website are for illustrative purposes only.

As each cookie is handmade, slight variations in size, appearance, colour and decoration are normal and should be expected.

Freshness

Our cookies are baked fresh, generally within 24 hours of your scheduled pickup or delivery.

For the best flavour and texture, we recommend consuming your cookies within 3–5 days.

Cookies may be refrigerated for 7–10 days. For a warm, gooey cookie, microwave for approximately 10–15 seconds before enjoying.

Order Changes and Cancellations

All orders are final and cannot be changed or canceled as all our products are baked fresh, and the batching process begins shortly after an order is received.

Delivery

Delivery is available within approximately 20 km of postcode 6153.

Delivery is $5.
Orders of $100 or more receive free delivery.

A delivery window will be agreed upon before delivery.

Someone must be available to receive the order unless a safe place to leave the delivery has been agreed to in advance.

If nobody is available and no safe drop location has been arranged, the delivery will not be completed. The customer will be responsible for arranging collection of their order from our kitchen at a mutually agreed time.

Pickup

Pickup is available during an agreed collection window.

If you are unable to attend your pickup time, please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange an alternative collection.

Please note that we advise to pick up as close to the agreed collection date as possible to maintain the freshness of the cookies.

Allergens

Our products are prepared in a home kitchen that handles common allergens.

All cookies contain:

Wheat (gluten)
Milk products
Eggs

Some products contain peanuts and other nuts.

While not every cookie contains peanuts, all products may contain traces of peanuts due to shared preparation areas and equipment.

We do not offer gluten-free products, and we cannot guarantee any product is free from allergen cross-contact.

Customers with food allergies should carefully consider this information before placing an order.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Prices may change without notice but will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Cookie Method is not responsible for delays or failure to fulfil orders due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, power outages, supplier shortages or other unforeseen events.
